Project Details

This animation is intended to act as an advertisement that you’d see at a medical conference or a pitch competition in a hospital. I took a post-production role in this project.

Visual effects

To reveal the stapling movement of internal elements, I decided not to render out external models and used Trapcode Form in After Effects to create a ghosting effect instead.

Graphic elements

I created animated labels with Red Giant Universe to emphasize the large degree of articulation of the end-effector. I also added a ghost trail effect to visualize the articulation of the end-effector.

Color adjustment

Our team chose an innovative and clean technology look and feel. To successfully achieve the look and feel we decided, I  corrected the color by adjusting different render passes. The adjustment made the material more metal and made the scenes more stylish.
